Love by the Lake is #39 in the Pink Collection and was published in December 2007. Lolita Vernon has run away from her stepfather who is pushing her into an unwanted marriage. On her way to London, she finds a little boy who is also being mistreated and decides to take him to his uncle, while posting as his governess.
